Perish the thought, although its a little frightening how close music has gotten to the above statement, yes I'm talking about 'grindcore' and all it's other definitive forms.
It's almost like these bands decide to place notes that don't 'sound right' (yes yes I know, grano salis in mind) and just work from there.
Its not that I don't like it, in fact its quite the opposite, I find it really interesting the way bands like 'Sikth' can claim complete originality (for now) because of their 'strange' sound.
Thats all for now, I just thought I'd better make an update before I'd have to do it at gunpoint.
Saves a lot of fuss really.

Understood exactly what you're trying to say and off course that could be a concern as to where music is headed. But it's all in the hands of time...don't you tink?

I think the amount of possible different combinations of instruments and notes used to make any kind of music are so close to infinity, albeit arbitrarily, that a situation where all new musical possibilites have been exhausted in time, is nearly impossible. When you throw words into the equation, you add an entirely new dimension to the whole process. And of course, there's always individual choice, which is based on the rationale of the human mind, an entity that is infinite in its own expanse. What is noise to one person, is music to another's ears.
And of course, I have tried my best to avoid mentioning the aspect of 'time' which is always a mind-numbing phenomenon for me to discuss, but music is a series of harmonic notes that occur over time, and time is infinite. And hence, so is music.
It's an interesting thought to ponder on, but nothing to lose sleep over. After all...there's just so much music out there in the world, how could you ever run out?

Yeah I was just being introspective (or trying anyway), but then again this is a time where one can hear a song and theres always a chance that he or she might go "oh I've heard this riff before" etc..
